Takács Zoltán

He learnt to paint porcelain at the Herend Porcelain Factory. In 1969, he obtained a certificate of skilled craftsman at the Fischer Mór Porcelain School. In 1977, he went on to study at the porcelain department at the Hungarian Academy of Craft and Design and graduated with special honours in 1982. His master was Imre Schrammel. Since 1982, he has worked as designer at the Herend Porcelain Manufactory designing household wares (Snow-ball family of tableware) and ornamental objects, figurines and mural ornaments alike. He has been the designer of the factory's Studio founded in 1985 and takes part in shaping the new professional profile of Herend. He took part in the work of Herend's Figure-program in Siklós in 1995. He is a member of the Hungarian Art Fund, MAOE (1982) and the Hungarian Designer Guild (1994).
