"Impossible" is not an option in Herend. Our masters' works confirm this fact time after time; this is how our master pieces are made. Occasionally, we stretch the boundaries of technology by using enormous sizes in our "bravura" solutions, or by aiming for the unchartered waters of fine art in applying paintings to porcelain. One way or another, we brace ourselves for a fight with the impossible. This is how some bravura items such as the Parliament vase, the porcelain sword or a porcelain replica of the Saint Crown was made. Our master painters turn glossy surfaces into still lives, portraits or paintings to fascinate the lovers of porcelain and by doing so, make the point that for Herend the impossible is just another alternative of possible.
