The task of the institution and thus its primary mission is to provide intermediate level vocational training. The school operates vocational classes only. It trains students as part of a full time programme within the framework of a 3-year training programme, tutoring students to become porcelain painters, porcelain manufacturers and plaster cast makers. The practical vocational training is organised in the training workshops of the operator, Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. During the study period, the Manufactory provides discounted lodgings and meals for students, and after taking a successful vocational examination it provides employment opportunities. Admission requirementsCompletion of basic schooling pursuant to the Public Education Act of 1993 after completion of the 10th grade at a minimum or after obtaining the baccalaureate. Application deadline: until 1st of March each year, (extended deadline admission procedures are also possible). Students gain admission to the vocational training programmes after successfully passing a professional aptitude test. Components of the a professional aptitude test
Students will learn specialised theory in 30% of the training period and perform vocational practice in 70% of the training period. The practical vocational training is organised and conducted by Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra Zrt. The training period concludes with a technical examination, which is composed of vocational theory and practice. The vocational practice part of the exam is composed of a task with a double objective: the making of an independent masterpiece and carrying out an assignment before the examination board. Students will become skilled workers depending on the results of the technical examination and may continue their professional work at the Herend Porcelain Manufactory in possession of a vocational training certificate.
