Opening of first shop with HEREND porcelain in former Yugoslavia took place in Zagreb, Croatia, on November the 16th 2007. Many important people from political and social life were invited. The most important guests were Ambassadors of Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, Germany and of course Hungary, as well as the ambassador of USA. His Excellency Ambassador of Hungary contributed Tokaj wine for the Opening. Present of such important people says enough about HEREND reputation. The whole event was leaded by very popular Croatian actor, Mr Tarik Filipović who had the honor to formally open the first HEREND SHOP in Zagreb. The porcelain in the store have not left anyone indifferent. The compliments went for the assortment as well as for the interior of the store. Shortly after the Opening, a banquet was given in a near restaurant. At the evening the quests had an opportunity to see a nicely set Victoria table and some unique Herend pieces like a figurine designed by Imre Schrammel. Besides the exhibition a painting show was set in the restaurant by Ms Tímea Czérna, painter of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory.
