The Herend Porcelain Manufactory Ltd. held the annual general meeting on 28 May 2008 where the members agreed the previous year's activities of the company. It was an opportunity for the shareholders to receive information of the company's accounts as well as reviewing fiscal information for the past year. The vocational award winners were also honored at a solemn awards ceremony and the Honorary Life Award was presented.
At a very particular moment at the general meeting Istvan Freud (Uncle Stefi) was greeted on the occasion of his 99th birthday. Uncle Stefi is the eldest inhabitant of the town Herend and the eldest porcelain painter of the Manufactory.
