Porcelain is a wonderful material. Its potentials and the work invested in it are reflected in its value. The name of Herend is calling for its most popular table sets, ornaments and reminds you its eternal classic figures. We have confidence in ourselves, based on the expertise and experience of almost two centuries and the popularity of numerous bravura items, and would like to enrich this picture now…

With an exhibition of framed porcelain paintings, placed in Veszprém, in the ΄Kávé és Teaház az Iródeákhoz΄ (Café and Teahouse Iródeák). The art exhibition was opened up February 15 and can be visited till end of April. Occasionally we stretch the boundaries by aiming for the unchartered waters of fine arts in applying paintings to porcelain. Our master painters turn glossy surfaces into still lives, portraits or paintings to fascinate the lovers of porcelain.
This exhibition is reflecting the cultural and social atmosphere of a café as well, an old world charm while sipping your coffee or tea during a day in a coffeehouse and having great conversations.

Tibor Kádár, artist painter and director of the Herend Vocational School, underlined in his opening speech: despite the general difficult economic situation, Herend will overcome until all professions there boast of centuries’ artistic porcelain-making know-how. Mr Kádár listed by name the artists and recalled the very first framed porcelain painting, manufactured in Herend that was dedicated to Alexander von Humboldt, German naturalist. Shortly after Sándor Vida, master painter of Herend – his artworks are exhibited as well – advocated more audience-minded approach to the porcelain paintings.
