The last weekend in January was the opening of the 15th Wedding Exhibition in Budapest. The exhibition was held at two venues. One venue was the Sportaréna (Sports Arena), where Herend Porcelain Manufactory and 'Héjja Trend Line Fashion Clothes' shared a display area to promote their products.

Among the exclusive collection of women's wear, inspired by the Herend tradition and designed by János Héjja, was the rose-patterned 'Vienna wedding dress', already exhibited last year; the Victoria-patterned young woman's dress; the romantic, corn-flower-patterned, green pantsuit and a Chinese-style evening dress with SN patterns.

We are pleased to have presented soon-to-be-wed couples and wedding enthusiasts with new co-designed dresses. These included a traditional, Appony-patterned, red, pantsuit, an immaculately elegant, EGA-patterned evening dress, and another evening dress with geometric shapes and patterns.

The shared display area had an additional function: A show of craftsman's discs harnessed by their master and the painters' talent at work creating something new, in essence, real-life presentation of the secrets of a traditional, manufactory-type porcelain production. As usual, this additional event was an incredible success.

Naturally, an event can never be complete without some of the traditional manufactory porcelains. A table was set with Herend's best-known Victoria-patterned dinner service, preserving the name of the first principal of the manufactory, displaying a multitude of breathtaking colours. The dazzling dinner service and the matching young woman's dress were the most popular of all of the displays.
