One way of sharing tea with friends is to open up the Autumn Museum Festival, you visit each of the four events and let us help you to increase your knowledge and appreciation of tea as well. On a dark November afternoon the strong scent of tea, developing fruity notes of citrus and caramel… spread in the Apicius Café. Meanwhile you deeply explored various aspects of the Japanese art of flower arrangement, the ikebana, presented by Mrs Tünde Kósa. Mini-exhibition was placed in parallel in the hall of the Porcelain Museum, showing ikebana on Herend Porcelain.
In contrast to the massing of blooms typical of flower arrangement in western countries, Japanese flower arrangement is based upon the line of twigs and leaves, filled in with a small number of blooms. The structure of ikebana is predicated on a scalene triangle delineated by three main points, considered to symbolize heaven, earth and man. The beginning of ikebana can be traced back to the 6th century, introduction of Buddhism to the Japanese. And the "Middle Kingdom" is a country of great antiquity, the "Homeland of Tea" as well.
Apicius Café is going to be soon a venue centered on drinking Herend Tea. Our four types of tea are the best available from Herend Brand Shops in a very close future.
