The KOGART Gallery in Budapest hosted a private concert by Al di Meola on 6th November 2005.
The world-famous American jazz guitar virtuoso and an international band of fellow-musicians played some of their latest recordings and were joined for a few additional pieces at the end of their concert by Eszter Horgas, the talented young flautist from Hungary.
The concert as well as the banquet following it were attended by several figureheads of the Hungarian business community. After the gourmet meal served on "Blue Apponyi" Herend plates, the Herend Porcelain Manufactory presented Al di Meola with a series of porcelain figurines depicting musicians, which were designed and made by the prestigious contemporary applied artist László Fekete.
