On June 24th, Mr Abdul Hadi Majali, president of the House of Representatives in Jordan, paid a visit to the Herend Porcelain Manufactory. Mr Majali and his entourage were received by CCO deputy director Robert Somogyi.

The visit commenced in the Manufactory's workshops where our guests were afforded a glimpse into the local secrets of producing handmade porcelain. They could acquaint themselves with production, the world of motifs and decorative processes. After this, they inspected the commercial showroom, where they could learn about the Manufactory's history, famous clients and patterns.
The President warmly expressed his admiration numerous times during his visit, and even put his thoughts in writing in the guest book:
"What I have seen show the immense civilisation that this country possesses. I have visited various porcelain factories before, but I have never encountered such professional congeniality and artistic standards."
