The legendary Gerbeaud, in the heart of Budapest, is one of the most famous café-confectioneries in Europe. An assortment of premium cakes and coffees pride themselves on their uniqueness, rich history and heritage. You make think you’re just stopping by for your morning coffee… but now you are truly taking part in a long tradition! Gerbeaud has been serving its finest pastries since 1858 and celebrating the 150 years anniversary. From mid-February till mid-March in the Nostalgia Saloon Gerbeaud shines with nostalgia of its original days: serving classic cakes and selection of retro-sandwiches while the attentive and well-prepared staff is wearing traditional costume. All the delectable slices are served on Herend Porcelain of the restrained Apponyi décor in green color, that substitutes peacefulness, moderation and contentment for the lavish exoticism of the forebears.
