Responding to an invitation by the President of the Republic of Hungary, László Sólyom President of the Hellenic Republic, Karolos Papoulias and his wife arrived in Hungary for a three-day-long visit.
On Thursday, Karolos Papoulias visited the Herend Porcelain Manufactory. Escorted by general director Dr. Attila Simon, the President of the Hellenic Republic visited the figurine painting department and devoted quite a while to seeing the special manufactory studio.
Accompanied by an extended delegation, the Presidential couple were shown the display room, where the President was kind enough to sign the company's guest book.
As compliments from the company, general manager Dr. Attila Simon presented the President with a painted porcelain statue of a tiger. The high-ranking visitors were finally entertained in the Manufactory's Apicius restaurant and café.
